After over 20 years at a swiftly deteriorating large local medical group, I thankfully made the decision to move to my local GP surgery - Dalton Terrace. It is seriously the best decision I ever made. Very friendly reception staff - who you can actually speak with - prompt to answer phones (no 'online' forms, impersonal triage systems or rude receptionists); named GPs who actually get to know you and your history (not random GPs and a multitude of locums every time you visit); one surgery (not sent all over the city to lots of different practices nowhere near where you live); swift response to medical requests; prompt invitations to vaccines when eligible; 'on the ball' with ongoing medical conditions and getting in contact for regular reviews. Thank you, Dalton Terrace! You are the jewel in York's crown when it comes to GPs!
