About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre New Victoria Hospital (Glasgow)

(as a service user),

I have been attending the oncology clinic at New Victoria for over one year now. I am so well cared for and so well looked after each time I visit. From the fantastic welcome by the lovely lady at the main door (I think it is Gael? ) who keeps everyone right and has made the entrance so beautiful; to all the amazing clinic staff who know everyone by name! The tea trolley comes and keeps us all fuelled and if necessary, so does the lunch trolley. Although the staff are always so busy, their care and attention never falters. I love the NHS. I am so well looked after. If I need a scan, it is usually achieved within 10 days - I have visited four different hospitals for various CT scans and X-rays - so good that we can access all of these sites. Well done NHS Glasgow. Well done New Victoria Hospital but a special thanks to my nurse, Ruanne.

It’s lovely to read about the person centred care you have received whilst attending the New Victoria Hospital, especially Ruanne. The staff in the Clinic try very hard to ensure that everyone has a positive experience and will be delighted to receive your feedback.
