"Minor Injuries Dept"

About: Uckfield Hospital

Anything else?

I had unfortunately swallowed a chemical by mistake. It had made my tongue and throat very uncomfortable and sore through out yesterday and last night. So much so that I had been kept awake with it. The male practioner on duty today was flippant, rude and non empathetic. Repeatedly saying it was a minor injuries dept, I am very aware of this and I honestly believed it was a minor injury to my throat. He could have just taken me to a side room and suggested I see a pharmacist instead of reducing me to tears by his rude and arrogant manner. I am of an age where I am very aware about wasting NHS time and resources, but to me if it was my mistake I still think I should have been treated with dignity and respect and he clearly did not do this.
