"GPs are nice if you can see one"

About: Studholme Medical Centre

Let me first start by saying if you manage to see a GP then you can normally get the help you need.

But to see a GP is a 40 step process that changes weekly.

You can use your online login but no longer allowed to book appointments.

You can use your NHS Login but that's not set up to book appointments.

You can try calling reception but they tell you they wont book you an appointment over the phone but to instead use a online form.

You can visit in person and they will send you home and tell you to use the online form.

You can use the online form but they wont read half of what you put on the form and then tell you cant see a GP in person but via a phone consultation. You can insist you know your body best and that a in person visit is best but they wont let you see a GP.

You will get a GP call you (twice but the second call is 1 minute after the first call which happens to be over an hour after they said they would call and if you miss it you can call the surgery and they tell you to use the online form)

Spoke to GP on the phone for deafness in 1 ear. 1st time got told it was an infection and got antibiotics. 2nd time got antivirals as it may actually be a Virus. Then you finally get a in person appointment and it turns out you have a wax build up and get told to go to the pharmacy to get Olive Oil ear spray and that fixed the issue.

Overall story is that you end up taking meds for no reason. You pay for 2 prescriptions you don't need. You wasted a month plus with a medical problem which could have been solved if you was see in person first. You have many encounters with the reception staff who are as useful as a chocolate teapot.
