I posted my story some months ago about the intense pain I was feeling. I was diagnosed with chronic prostatitis by private urologist as I've tried to see nhs urologist since January but I just cant get an appointment. I even spoke to someone senior in urology but I felt they just said any thing to appease me. I'm still in horrific genital pain.
I'm unemployed but having to pay for private treatment, mentally I'm done, in pain and now in debt. I have no funds to keep going private so it looks like I'll have to put up and shut up, I thought I would be treated by NHS, but so far no, sorry if I'm ranting this has been going on for so long.
If you read this, tell any men with this condition to demand treatment, you have a right to NHS treatment as anyone else. So far I've been at pain clinic on NHS and my niece organised that no doctor. I honestly have nowhere left to turn, any suggestions would be welcome, the thought of living with this condition any longer scares me as I don't think I can. Its a debilitating condition - although not fatal, it leaves me with a feeling of no hope, with a day to day miserable quality of life, and on top unable to source NHS treatment or I just get fobbed off.
I hope I haven't put off other men with chronic prostatitis seeking treatment, I'm sure I'm just one person for some reason struggling to get the help I need, thanks if you read my story.
