"My recent visit to A and E (stepping Hill)"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was sat in the garden finishing a bottle of beer. The last mouthful felt strange and I thought I had swallowed a piece of glass at the bottom of the bottle. Playing it safe I had no choice to vomit up what ever it was. It was a wasp. Whilst in my throat it decided to sting me. My throat starting to close. I took an antihistamine and drove to A and E at Stepping Hill Hospital

it is quite concerning feeling your throat closing and your voice changing. I have to say from the start to the finish all the staff were extremely professional and efficient. I am very grateful for the care I received. Even though they were extremely busy, they couldn’t do enough to help me. Thank you very much.

Firstly may I take this opportunity to say I am glad you are ok from which sounds like a very scary experience. Thank you for taking the time to leave some lovely feedback which I will ensure is shared with the team in A&E.

Kind regards

Emma
