"Referral to rheumatology"

Over the last couple of years I have experienced an increasing level of pain, loss mobility and fatigue. In common with many people I deliberately stayed very clear of anywhere connected with the medical world because of the COVID outbreak but in March this year asked to see my GP and despite the delays caused by COVID restrictions was referred to Dr Irodi (Consultant) at Fife Rheumatology.

Since then I have been made aware of a) the existence of the Rheumatology Team and the b) the range of help and services that they offer. Although my medication regime is not yet finalised and I have up-coming appointments yet to be kept, I would like to record my appreciation of every one of the Team that I have been in contact with so far including Staff Nurse McLean whose clear explanations and willingness to answer any questions was of great help.

I would particularly like to express my many thanks to Nurse Toase at the Adamson Hospital. I have needed to attend her Clinic twice to date and found her to be a friendly, down-to-earth, knowledgeable professional and very very helpful.
