Prostate biopsy

About: North Devon District Hospital / Theatres North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Day Surgery Unit at NDDH in mid September 2021 for a prostate biopsy.

I received first class care from all the nursing staff in that unit, especially Naomi, the Deputy Ward Manager who is truly superb.

The care and attention from all the staff is truly inspiring.

I also received very good attention from the staff in the operating theatre. 

Nobody really enjoys a hospital visit for a procedure, but all the staff make it as pleasant as they can with good humour.

I have worked in the NHS for over 35 years as a senior Medical Secretary in various specialties. I currently work in the Urology Department providing PA services to the clinical team.

Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to leave such lovely feedback regarding your attendance to the day surgery unit for your prostate biopsy. I will ensure I pass your feedback onto the Day Surgery Ward Manager who will pass onto her nursing and theatre team.

As you say, it is always an anxious time having to attend hospital for a procedure but I am glad that the staff in day surgery were able to make this as positive experience for you as possible.
