"Well done to everyone in the McMillian Day Bed Unit"

About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre / Macmillan Day Unit

(as a service user),

I attended the day bed unit for Anti VegF treatment for the last  6 months.

All staff were an absolute credit to the NHS and kept me calm through out each treatment. I really struggled in particular with lip reading due to the mask situation. Darren in particular always ensured that he had a visor in place so I was able to lip read and understand everything that was happening through out my stay at the bed unit. I have now stopped my treatment as it was unsuccessful and had to get emergency spinal surgery. But my 6 months being there I cannot fault the staff one bit. Well done to everyone in the unit from nurses, healthcare assistants and reception

Dear Jazzqy77

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your positive feedback, it is very much appreciated.

It is reassuring to read that you were so well supported by all the staff and I hope you are recovering from your surgery.

I will share your comments with Darren and the team, I know they will be delighted.

Kindest regards

Margaret
