"I didn't feel ready to leave because I was still very shaky"

About: City Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

Birmingham City hospital I came to see my partner for the day in Birmingham. I was in the toilet in Birmingham new Street, slipped in the toilet onto my knees and twisted my legs and hurt my hip.

I had no feeling in my legs so an ambulance was called, nurses was great on arrival has I’ve got a disability cerebral palsy which means I am unable to immobilise properly. The nurses was very friendly on arrival . And all observations was done, had an High temperature ,Bloods were taken, waited three hours for the doctors did my examinations.

I was very much in pain and consistently through my body I feel that the consultant didn’t do thorough examination of my body, they just sort did a quick examination of legs not back. No x-rays was given and was sent out at 4 am being disabled with no accommodation because I am from Wales and my partners parents house isn't really accessible for me.

I am very upset about the experience. I should ever had x-rays. I was also in pain and told them that I would struggle to immobilise for the rest of that night but they didn't seem to be bothered about that, they just said if it happens again to call Us. I didn't feel ready to leave hospital because I was still very Shaky on my feet

I would not recommend this hospital to anyone!!
