It’s hard to put into words how frankly incompetent the receptionists are. Often rude and snarky, they have no advice besides “phone at 8am on Monday”.
The doctors are, somehow, even worse. Recently booked in for a phone call which had ambiguous texts about when it would arrive. Upon reviving the call I asked to be called back anytime in the next 5-10 minutes as I got somewhere comfortable to take the call - which considering I’m going to be proclaiming my medical information seems fairly bloody reasonable. Nope can’t do it, you’ll have to phone and reschedule. I only have a minor ailment so I can’t imagine what it must be like to be seriously ill and have to deal with these people. Then guess what? Get a call back and a snarky voicemail left telling me they had called back as requested but we’re out to voicemail. I was on the phone to the GP to reschedule the call! After waiting 14 minutes I assumed no call was arriving. Tried rearranging again and was told that the gp wouldn’t see me and I’d have to phone back on Monday. Brilliantly left to worry about my health until Monday morning where I’ll almost certainly be told there’s no appointments left. Move to literally any other surgery.
