(as a parent/guardian),

Autism Diagnostic & Intervention Services [ADIS - Clinical Team]

My son has been awaiting an appointment with the ADIS. Due to COVID19 appointments understandably have been delayed further and service delivery changed from face-2-face appointments to zoom appointments. I was particularly nervous about how a zoom appointment was going to work but the Team contacted me beforehand to explained how the call would be undertaken and telephoned when they had made their decision and explained what would happen in the future.

I am indebted for the care, attention, patience, openness and kindness of Shannan and Chloe for the advice, support and reassurance to both my son and myself.

You do an amazing job ladies - keep doing what you do best! ! !

With thanks

Thank you for sharing your personal experience with Care Opinion. In Autism Services we have had to develop new ways of working given the current pandemic. Whilst appreciating it is different to being seen face to face I am glad that any anxieties that your son or family had were alleviated by the good communication and updates regarding processes via telephone and Zoom. I have shared your story with both Shannan and Chloe. Please do not hesitate to contact the clinic in future should you require any further advice or support on 02837566777

Regards

Shirley Dennison
