I was referred by my doctor on thurs 14th Feb for an x ray of my swollen foot. I phoned at 1pm the same day and was suprised to be given an appointment for 2 hours later. The lady I saw was extremely helpful and after x raying my foot told me the results would be with my doctor on the following Tuesday, this seemed to be a considerable wait considering the pain my foot was causing. I phoned the doctors as advised on the tues to be told they could take 7-10 days to get results. After numerous more calls and now 10 days later my X-ray still hasn't been seen by the consultant at berwick let alone made it back to my own doctor. They say this is due to a 'backlog' but if I had gone to casualty instead of doctors I would have been given X-ray results straight away?! What kind of service is this? Meanwhile my foot is still the same and still causing me Lot of pain. Definitely would not recommend this hospital for X-ray!
