A friend recently attended A&E and had to use their mobile phone to contact a Sign Language interpreting service, however this relies on the battery being fully recharged to enable the service to be accessed, when a person attends A&E it is usually not planned, it is last minute and there isn't always time to pack a phone charger or to check if it is fully charged etc,
Is there a device that can be used in A&E for patients and staff to contact services like this and not having to rely on the patient's own device? Also on arrival to reception the deaf patient is having to use their own mobile to contact interpreter services to enable them to book in. Again a suggestion if there was a device at reception to make the booking in process more smooth. This facility is in local councils receptions and it has been invaluable.
