I was admitted to FVRH for an Endoscopy. I heard many stories about the procedure which were not very pleasant. I was admitted very efficiently, advised what was going to happen.
The staff must be praised for their cheerful, pleasant, and efficient attitude, always making me feel well taken care of and well informed. The Group taking care of me were Susan, Brenda, Kim, Katie and Dr Brennan. The procedure was not near as unpleasant as I had anticipated and the staff's sense of humour and comforting words certainly helped.
I had arranged for transport and was to be picked up, however there was a delay and I became concerned as I knew I would not be able to leave the hospital at that time. Kim, while very busy, came to my rescue and very efficiently cancelled the transport and contacted a friend to come and pick me up. Doing this she had to leave other duties. She never once became agitated or upset. By the time I was going for my procedure she had solved the problem which put my mind at ease. When I was in recovery Kim contacted my friend and then made sure I was wheeled to the entrance of the hospital to the awaiting car of my friend. You have some very special people working in the department and I wish to express my appreciation.
