"Doing an amazing job"

The nurses are fabulous.  Two nurses that stand out to me as being so wonderful and amazing are Leigh and Caroline.  The nurses are completely run off their feet and are completely stretched to the maximum but continue to care for me and keep me well updated.  The doctor comes around every morning.  The doctor is nice but it is just a flying visit so it is a very quick update unfortunately.  I feel comfortable asking staff questions.  The ward is clean; however, the toilets could be much cleaner especially on a ward where people are generally unwell.  There are only two toilets and I feel like there should be someone available to clean them regularly between each visit as the toilets are sometimes left in a horrible state.  The bed is changed regularly and I got a special mattress which is air pumped and it is so comfortable.  The food is ok but the menu never changes so we have the same selection every day.  We really need more fresh fruit available and a better variety of veg as we can only choose from broccoli, peas or carrots.
