"Phone first service for sprained ankle"

About: Accident & Emergency / Phone First Causeway Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit Causeway Hospital / Radiology Causeway Hospital / X-Ray Department

(as a service user),

Yesterday I had the misfortune to trip and sprain my ankle, it was extremely painful, I called phone first and got an appointment for today at Causeway to have it x-rayed. Everyone involved was professional courteous and kind. I want to particularly praise the member of staff who was cleaning meticulously and found me a footstool. This kindness made my experience so much easier. The nurse practitioner and radiology staff were also sympathetic, knowledgeable and courteous. At a time when the NHS in Northern Ireland is under strain these people continue to give their best. I obviously would rather not have sprained my ankle but I could not have gotten better care. Thank you everyone
