I have been in hospital for just over a week now. I was taken in by ambulance which I didn't need to wait long at all for. The ambulance crew were 1st class and really reassured me that I was going to receive the care I needed.

On arrival to CAH I was taken straight into A& E. Although I was waiting a long time the staff were more than good to me and kept me informed as to what my care plan was going to look like. I felt grateful that staff were leaving no stone unturned and carried out all the tests possible for me. Everything was communicated to me in a timely and appropriate manner.

After a while I was moved up to this ward where I have been ever since. Staff, both medical and nursing, up on this ward are amazing and ensure I am comfortable and kept informed. Its a credit to the domestic staff how clean and tidy the ward is kept. Every member of staff I have encountered has been outstanding and I trust them in their skills and knowledge.

The recent passing of my husband last month has made the past while a very difficult time for me, especially now in hospital where I am alone and unable to interact with others especially my close family. The staff after being made aware of this have been so good to me, always offering me a shoulder to cry on and some moral support, I don't know what I would do without them at this time. I have really enjoyed building this close relationship with them and am very grateful for this opportunity.
