"Lung ward - Excellent nurse"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Accident and emergency Wythenshawe Hospital / Cardiothoracic Surgery Wythenshawe Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

One of the best wards I've ever been in - Wythenshawe Hospital F3 Lung ward. Excellent nurse, doctors, surgeons, cleaners and food 10/10. Nurses always there for me if I need help no matter what. I think all nurses at Wythenshawe Hospital are smart, intelligent, hard working, very good nurses. I've been in Wythenshawe Hospital a lot. I've had thoracic surgery 2 times on both lungs and stapled across. I've had more lung pneumothoraxes than anyone I know. I don't know anyone who's had thorax after thorax with chest drains in and out, in and out. Hopefully now I should be OK with no more bad thoraxes. They can happen if you have blebs on lungs which can pop at any time; the problem is not knowing when and how. All I know is I would not wish what I've had done on anyone (in and out of hospital, lung going flat all the time and chest drains). I just had a second lung surgery done now and am recovering the right way. Thanks to all the Thoracic team members, all nurses,  doctors,  consultant and VJ. He is an excellent surgeon. I asked him to do my second lung and he did. I am here recovering. Thanks VJ and all who were in the operation room in 2019. My other lung was going down all the time and it was very bad. I had lung surgery to fix it. They drained a yellow fluid away from this lung then did an operation. They then recovered my other lung in an operation in August 2021.  So give it time to fully recover and fingers crossed no more pneumothoraxes ever again. Thank u all at Wythenshawe Hospital. It's the best hospital I've ever stayed in. To F2 lung ward, F3 Lung ward, and  Doyle ward thank u, as well all at Wythenshaw Hospital. I could of died but I didn't. I trust Wythenshawe Hospital more than my last hospital, which I wouldn't go back to. This month I woke up with a flat lung, went straight to A&E then chest drain. I told the staff the thoracic team knew about me, I was ready for operation, so all got sorted. Thank u All at Wythenshawe Hospital - you're the best 👍😎
