"Long wait for medications"

About: Victoria Hospital / General Medicine Victoria Hospital / Pharmacy

(as a carer),

My wife has been waiting over 4 hours for tablets to go home with most of which is in her nomad. The pharmacist visited 3 times before 12 midday and it is now nearly 5pm and we are still waiting to get the tablets. We've asked nurses to be told that we are waiting on the pharmacist. Something I already knew. I understand that they are busy but over 4 hours is a bit over the odds. I could walk to my local pharmacy and get them in less time then it has taken to get the tablets. This is unacceptable treatment. No wonder they have a shortage of beds.
