"felt pressurised into taking an appointment slot"

About: Tamar Referral & Appointments Centre

(as the patient),

I was contacted by phone and someone from the TRAC team and they said there was a cancellation for 24th Dec, 2012. I said this was not suitable as I was going away for Christmas. This person put pressure on me to attend this appointment saying I would have to wait until March If I didn't accept the 24th December. As I had to leave for an appointment, with a taxi waiting outside for me I asked if they could ring me back. They then “informed” me all the slots will be gone. I was not contacted back.

Dear ‘Kettle125’,

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us about using the TRAC service, I can only apologise that you felt under pressure to book an appointment when you were contacted on the phone. This sounds like it falls out of the normal process and I would really welcome the chance to look into this further for you to learn what happened.

If you would like to contact me I am available on 01626 883712 from Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm. Alternatively you can also email me at cab.helpdesk@nhs.net.

Best wishes

Gemma Tremlett
