Had an appointment with an ENT about 2 years ago, who diminished the problems that were caused due to a broken nose. Saying things like: there's nothing wrong, you are complaining rather than listening to me.
I had to get referred again from the GP, and unfortunately due to the pandemic the appointment came after a year. With the same ENT too.
This time they were maybe worse than before. When I was speaking they said: "none of these are connected". Having pain from the joint where the nose is broken, that passageway getting blocked way more, and prone to sinus infections are common symptoms after an injury.
They then went on to say that the pain doesn't happen, that it is the look of the bump that's the issue. I reiterated it was painful as the area of the healed bone. They again stated that my nose looked perfectly fine as though I am asking for a nose job, which I did not at any time.
They even suggested losing weight so that my body needs less oxygen. But this is wrong, losing weight will not decrease my air flow, my lungs will not lose weight too. Honestly it was such a bad experience, twice being made fun of and disregarded on every health issue I said.
They also only used a light to shine in to check the nose. My broken bone is at the top. That is not possible to see with the naked eye.
"Unhappy with ENT appointment"
