"Kidney biopsy"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

My kidney biopsy developed complications when blood clots were discovered in the bladder, and I was transferred to King George V ward.

I received fantastic care from the various staff on that ward.  In particular, Staff Nurse Naomi and HCA Lynn, who kept the patients amused. HCA Sue was also good.

I was in Bay 6, and all the staff went over and above in connection with patient care.

I also received great care from the staff in the Ultrasound department, especially Staff Nurse Pat, who runs a tight ship under difficult circumstances.

Dear Tabatha1

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you developed complications following your kidney biopsy and needed admission to KGV ward. However, I am very pleased to read that the staff looked after you very well and you were happy with the patient care you received both on the ward and in the ultrasound department. I will ensure your positive feedback reaches the staff concerned.

Thank you again for your taking the time and trouble to leave your positive feedback.

Kind regards

Paula

I am a Diagnostic Radiographer with many years experience of working, and imaging patients, in all areas of the Radiology department. I am also responsible for the governance in Radiology and so make sure that we are compliant with the many ionising radiation regulations that dictate what we can and can't do in radiology, keep the patients and staff safe and ensure we are practicing safely. I also deal with our policies and procedures and oversee compliments, complaints and quality.
