"My experience in A&E"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 North Ward Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came into hospital on Saturday night via A& E. I was taken in by ambulance which thankfully arrived really quickly. I was made comfortable by the 2 members of the ambulance crew as they reassured me which made me feel much happier. When I got into the hospital I was seen straight away in A& E and trusted all the members of medical and nursing staff looking after me. I was kept informed throughout and someone was always there to answer my questions or help me with anything I needed. The staff down in the emergency department, in such a high pressured and stressful job had such a good attitude towards work and it was admirable to observe. I knew I was in safe hands and that they would try their best to help me get better. After this A& E experience I was taken up onto 3 North. The staff up here have been so good and the doctors and nurses have treated me with the upmost dignity and respect. I am comfortable and content with my ward space and am completely satisfied with the standard of care I have received in my staff so far.
