"First time as in patient"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Stroke Care

(as a service user),

First time as in-patient in x-house. very attentive staff. Informed at every step of your journey and nothing is too much trouble from all levels of ward staff.

My family were very impressed by the connection between themselves and the staff that spoke on the phone an when visiting.

Just a mention, to all management levels. Your nurses work harder on one shift than many other employees, and although over covid ect they are valued even more, by the public. You as investors in people, need to treat staff to shorter days, more breaks and alone time on shift, to get a little respite from the ward + just to relieve the stress of the shift (not always possible obviously). Keep up the good work team MHS.

Dear xraydd83,

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. Being in hospital is such a frightening time for you and your family. It is so nice to read about your experience and the communication with your family. As well as all the technical aspects equally important is care and compassion.

The team will be delighted to read your feedback ( especially your suggestions of shorter shifts and more breaks!).

I hope you are now feeling better.

Best Wishes,

Christine and Staff ASU.
