"Virtual visit"

About: Southern Health & Social Care Trust / Virtual Visiting Service

(as a service user),

We had arranged a virtual visit with my dad as he had been in the hospital almost 2 weeks and we are not allowed in to see him. He is heading for surgery in the Royal this week so we were trying to lift his spirits.

My family all gathered at my house and we took it in turns to speak to him. He was a little overwhelmed seeing us all.

It was great and quality of FaceTime was excellent.

Good afternoon

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the new Virtual Visiting Service in Southern Health and Social Services Trust. We recognise how difficult it is for families at the minute due to Covid 19.

This new service has been established to try to support families and patients during this time and your story just lets us see how the important the service is to you, your family and your father.

I have personally shared this story with all the members of the Virtual Visiting Team. They are just delighted with this feedback.
