"Our experience in paeds ambulatory unit"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Blossom (Paediatric Outpatient dept)

(as a parent/guardian),

My 6year old son attended in August for an allergy challenge to the blossom ambulatory unit. I'd like to thank all the staff who looked after us from our admission, our time during the allergy challenge and discharge. I'd like to give a special thanks to Caroline who was the specialist allergy nurse on, she kept us fully informed and answered any questions we had. My son felt calm and reassured throughout and actually really enjoy his morning there 😊

We got a prompt phone call follow up the next day from the consultant, who was typing a letter to our GP to keep them informed of his progress, which we felt was good follow up care. Thanks to all involved.

Hi Gillian

Thank you for taking the the time to leave such kind feedback, I am sure it can be an anxious time attending for an allergy test, but delighted to hear your son felt calm and reassured.

I have given Caroline a copy of your feedback and she was really delighted to receive this, she actually said it made her day! I will also share this with the consultant team as well.

Hope you son is doing well and would like to wish you and your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards

Stephanie McCarragher
