"Access to neurology appointment"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham / Neurology

(as a service user),

Doctors previously suspected that I had MS prior to moving to Birmingham. When  I moved my case was transferred to QE hospital Birmingham. I saw Neurology a few times and even though the previous doctor showed me a picture of my MRI and said there was unusual lit up areas in my brain that shouldn't have been, Neurology at QE didn't take it seriously and ended it saying they can't rule out ischemic stroke. It ended there because I got pregnant and my symptoms went away. They also looked at the nerve behind my left eye that was going blind and said the myelin sheath on the nerves were damaged and brushed it off as migraines. They discharged me then.

I've had my 2 babies and symptoms have been returning as I've started smelling smoke with other stuff happening. I was referred back to Neurology last year and I've still not heard anything about an appointment. Since then a lot more symptoms have started that are making me think it is MS. GP dismissed my concerns saying they don't think it's MS and when symptoms go away they don't come back. A lot of people said that after pregnancy symptoms can come back worse. If this is MS and it gets worse what happens then since they are delaying seeing what it could be like it's not important? I'm in a lot of pain with no reason for there to be pain to the point I can't sleep. How can Neurology seemingly ignore people like people are lying about what's happening to them.
