"West Kent PCT - Thyroid medication"

The service is appalling, they will not prescribe the drug I need, as a thyroid patient you should get all your medications free. I have to buy mine as West Kent PCT will not allow Dr.s to prescribe Armour, which is the drug of choice in the USA. I have been told by a doctor in this area that is why no Dr will prescribe it on the NHS. I had been ill for 13 years before they found what was really wrong! And even that was pot luck, as it was a locum who tested me for thyroid. Had lots of other treatments and drugs, no wonder I never got better. And even now I cannot thank the NHS as I have to buy my medication, and what really makes me mad is that other PCTs do provide Armour for their patients on the NHS FREE.
