"Ambulatory Unit"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Ambulatory Care - Medical Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came into the hospital through the emergency department , I only waited around 3 hours to be seen firstly by a doctor, then I went for an x-ray, then a consultant from haematology came and took a sample from my arm for the labs. The nurses in ED were great. My only criticism was that someone came in dripping in blood; it took a while for it to be cleaned up and I saw someone was bare foot walking through it.

The ambulatory unit is very clean and airy. The staff always kept me well involved and kept me involved with decisions regarding treatment. The consultant was good, he explained everything thoroughly to me and about after care. The lunch here was great.
