"Absolute joke"

About: Furlong Medical Centre

They tell you to ring at 8, but you ca t get through, on some occasions I've called over 200 times. This morning I needed to see a doctor, called 103 times but could t get through so went down to the surgery only to be told "Ive booked you a telephone appointment and the doctor will tell you if you need to come in"

I'm stood there in front of her in an empty surgery.... Why couldn't anyone see me there and then?! Even a nurse!

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this issue to my attention. As you maybe aware General Practice is under a lot of strain at the moment and we are constantly striving to improve our services. We have made lots of changed to the Surgery including employing extra GPs an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Pharmacists. We are now offering Saturday appointment's as requested by our patients. We know the telephones can be extremely busy therefore we have implemented a call back service to save you waiting in a queue. We also have implemented an Email service where we have 48 hours to reply, you can pre book appointments, request prescription and discuss any concerns or queries. We are always happy to help.

Due to this post being posted Anonymously I am unable to contact you directly, if you wish to discuss this directly with myself further please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards
