"Poor Emergency Department"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

Directed to ED by GP after ECG to eliminate unstable angina. Spent 5 hours to have blood taken, BP & another 2 ECGs. Then transferred to Acute Assessment, where it was discovered that my records were not moved with me - receiving staff directed porter to take me back to ED to repeat process - I refused, whereby I was curtly informed that they could not accept me without the necessary paperwork. After some discussion I was told that the receiving department would repeat the tests themselves - reluctantly admitted this could take another 3-4 hours. I left in disgust!!
