"I felt belittled by the doctor I saw"

About: Western General Hospital / Rheumatology

(as a service user),

I attended the Rheumatology clinic at the WGH and as a result am raising a formal complaint.

The doctor was condescending, dismissive, refused to allow me to speak and was clearly working towards the all too familiar "let's give them a bit of information about CBT and get them out the door" agenda. I felt belittled and demeaned by this individual and left without being able to air my concerns about the rapid progression of my symptoms and the alarming new symptoms I was experiencing.

The person who accompanied me was disgusted. I was in tears for over half an hour before I was able to safely leave the car park. I am in crippling pain which will not be cured by a website.

I am appalled and have since found out that two other ladies have received startlingly similar treatment from this doctor.
