"my cancelled appointment"

About: Adult community health services / Musculoskeletal physiotherapy service

(as the patient),

Nothing -having waited the usual 3 months, the appointment was cancelled. What is an open appointment?   This episode is the third in which I have failed to get appointments.  

The originator of my diatribe was the MSk Physiotherapy and Podiatry Booking Service in Chard Hospital who,of course cannot be held responsible.
What lies behind this is the fact that I have been unable to secure appointments for Physiotherapy and for a camera examination of my throat, both of which were prescribed by my Doctor in early/mid June. This cancellation of an existing appointment was the last straw.

Thank you for taking an interest in this. Firstly, I should say that my comments are the tiniest of niggles compared to the experiences of millions of others. They were triggered by a conjunction of the cancellation of my podriatry appointment with the statement of "an open appointment" which is an utterly meaningless phrase, and the discovery after I opened the page for Frome hospital after about a month to see if any progress had been made in getting the appointment only to read that "no appointment had been arranged; Specialist had reviewed this referral and given advice to Millbrook Surgery." I contacted the surgery who said they had heard nothing from Frome; I then spoke to Frome who told me that their hospital did not have an ENT Dept.
How could NHS send a Booking Letter giving Frome Hospital as one of those providing the service I needed? What a shambles!

I really can't see how I can usefully add to what I wrote but I will phone and try to add something. However, I can add that I have now secured an appointment with a Physio. so things have greatly improved.
