"Ultrasound"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiology (X-rays and Scans)

(as the patient),

I was a little nervous about getting an ultrasound having just come out of hospital following a severe urine infection and having a kidney stone. I wasn't sure what the additional ultrasound would find.

Danielle, who explained that she was a trainee, carried out the initial ultrasound examination. She was very friendly and reassuring and explained what she was doing as we went along, which calmed my nerves. On completion, her supervisor, Lynne, then checked the results and she was also very friendly and calming. I found my visit to the Ultrasound department was very pleasant thanks to the staff . I would not be nervous if I needed to go for another Ultrasound. I could not fault anything that day.
