"Awful staff "

About: Croydon University Hospital

Your first receptionist/nurse that you first have to speak to, the morning of todays date in the A&E department is inconsiderate of mental conditions and needs the training to deal with us properly. The minute I get there with my other half who is with me because I suffer panic attacks and dissociation, she threatens that he will likely need to go outside. With no consideration for my mental health, I was already shaking when I got to this department. To top it off the second nurse I saw was going on and on about her lunch break to the other staff and when I tried to talk to her she was very abrupt and talking over me and maybe I would have been okay but as with the first woman, my partner was told he couldn't come in- therefore I had no emotional support.

Just sick of this shortness and rudeness. I don't need excuses to say how bad things are with them being overworked, frankly I don't care because if they can't give a moment's compassion to someone like me, why should I give it to them? They CHOSE to work here, I did not choose to have a mental illness. Sort it out.
