"Cancelled surgery"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66)

(as a service user),

Cancelled 

Yesterday I had my surgery cancelled. I understand these things happen ... my problem  is I am in significant pain  and this was something I have been needing to get sorted for a number of years and delayed of course due to the pandemic .  I don't like to complain,  but  I don't know what to do. 

My gp has signed me off, but when I was cancelled I wasn't given much information in terms of time scale, what do, how to keep informed of what is happening.. I'm not in the business of blame, I just want clarity .... I also feel that I always seem to have chase my care up. Just because its elective doesn't mean we aren't struggling 

I accept we are in a difficult time. But I just need more information
