"dining staff accommodating in making menu more diverse"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 1 South Medical

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I am being discharged today and wanted to thank the staff for making the menu include a bigger variety of options over my 5 week hospital stay. I was seen by the dietician as I was loosing weight due to nothing on the menu suiting, however the issue was addressed and I am very grateful thankyou! The staff in one south were a delight and all kept the ward immaculately clean and all work so so hard.

Thank you for posting regarding your recent hospital experience.

We make approximately 900 patient meals per day and our menus are designed in collaboration with our dietetic colleagues. We do try to have a wide variety of options, but we realise that sometimes the standard menu items will need alternatives. I am really pleased to see the dietitian was able to resolve the problem.

Many thanks

Andrew
