"staff on 3 North very respectful and well mannered"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 North Ward

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I had a fall last Tuesday evening at 10pm and had to go to the emergency department. The staff in the xray department were very friendly, fast and active. I was told I have a fracture in my left hip/pelvis and was assigned a physio.

The young physio has been so good in my recovery and motivating me to get back on my feet and independent again. The nursing and caring staff here have been magnificent and do everything for you. I hadnt been in hospital in almost 30 years and it is great seeing all the wonderful changes that have been made. The ward and our bay is always sparkling clean. I love how the care staff are so respectful and well mannered asking for permission for anything they do and going about it at my pace.

My only negative is how it takes almost two hours in the morning for a cup of tea after hours of no drinking while asleep

Thank you for posting regarding your recent hospital experience.

I will pass your positive feedback to the Domestic Services team. I am really sorry to read that it takes 2 hours to get a cup of tea, please feel free to ask a member of staff if they could bring you a cup before the breakfast service.

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Andrew
