"Punch biopsy/excision"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Dermatology

(as a service user),

I visited Dermatology Department at Royal Cornwall Hospital as an outpatient on in July 2021 to have a biopsy procedure on my left shin. My daughter/Carer wheeled me in my Wheelchair and left me in the capable hands of the nursing staff. All the people involved treated me with kindness, care and utmost patience as I am also very deaf. I cannot praise the NHS enough. They made sure I understood what was going to happen and how to care for my wound when I got home. My thanks to Jo and Sonia who carried out the biopsy as they made sure I was comfortable and that I understood exactly what they were doing. Very many thanks to everyone in Dermatology.

Dear Angelcat

Thank you for taking the time and getting in touch with us about your recent appointment in Dermatology. I am pleased to hear about the positive experience that you had within our Department and that you were treated with kindness, care and patience. It is good to know that you felt comfortable and fully informed about your procedure and how to look after it when you got home. I hope that it has healed so well. I will ensure to pass on your lovely comments to the staff mentioned. Once again thank you for the feedback.
