"No common sense"

About: Wilberforce Surgery

Had an appointment with the nurse and while I was checking in at the receptionist I said I had to make an appointment for my wife.

I was told that I couldn't make an appointment unless I called them.

"But I'm here, why can't I make the appointment with you?"

"Because you have to call"

"But why"

"Because you do"

OK... so I sat down 3 meters away from the reception desk and called.

When she answered, I stood up and started to walk over to her and was told that I had to sit down and speak to her on the phone (bearing in mind that there was a full perspex screen between us and a moment ago I was talking face to face with her when I checked in.

Where has all the common sense gone in the world where I'm in the same room as somebody and forced to call them on the phone.

If I wasn't in need of test results I would have left there and then.

Nothing bad to say about the Nurse and doctor... they were very nice and helpful.
