"Premature baby"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Neonatal Unit Maternity care / 2 West Maternity

(as a service user),

I spent a week on the maternity ward  and daughter spent time in neonatal unit in Craigavon due to been premature the staff were all amazing including the student nurses that were there at the time... they all provided us with the strength and support we needed while keeping us informed of our daughters progress along the way.. thankfully our daughter grew from strength to strength and when we were finally able to take her home the staff provided us with all the information we needed to keep her safe those 1st few weeks.. I cannot thank the staff at CAH enough from the moment I first made contact to the day I got my daughter home the staff went above and beyond Thank you all so much

Dear homamyp67

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience - it was obviously a difficult time for both you and your baby. It is lovely to hear that your experience was a positive one and very reassuring to know that you were kept well informed and up to date. Your comments will be shared with the staff and the student nurses.

I am delighted that your daughter is now home and hope you both continue to do well.

Regards

Bernie

Thank you for letting us know about your experience with the neonatal unit and maternity ward in Craigavon Hospital. We know that having a baby in the neonatal unit can be very stressful and I'm pleased that you were kept informed about your little girl's condition while she was there.

I wish you and her both well and hope she continues to thrive.

David
