"Overhearing staff talking about patients"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / Elderly Medicine (ward K south, 2 & 3 Larkfield Unit)

(as a service user),

Overheard myself being spoken about when it was decided to keep me in a while longer - staff saying I did not want to go home, and witnessed another patient getting very upset when they heard staff laughing about them. Being a retired nurse myself I explained to the staff that they could be overheard. When new staff are being briefed on coming on duty staff talk too loud and can be overheard discussing the patients cases.

Having said that I think this is an excellent hospital overall.
