I used to get my audiology requirements, tubing and batteries from Wishaw General Hospital, simply by e mailing in every 6 months. It was a fantastic service with great staff and really helpful.
Lanarkshire decided to centralise the service in Hamilton and it's been abysmal. They won't supply batteries, are rude and off hand in their communications, take weeks to supply what you've asked for and to cap it all sent the wrong size of tubing.
I intend to raise this as yet another example of how an individual with a hearing impairment gets a less than optimal service.
It's also impacted on my work.
