"Horrible Service"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I rang for an ambulance but was told it would take 1&1/2 for someone to get to me so my partner drove me to this hospital as it was the closest I had fallen and broke my nose there was blood everywhere when I arrive I had cuts on my hands & face on arrival my partner was turned away even though I needed someone with me after having a head injury and felt extremely faint & dizzy, I was directed to the desk by a man at the front and he was giving me a pen and paper to book in, I had blood gushing out of my nose so was holding a tissue to it and my both hands were bleeding with cuts I had told him I can’t write due to the pain and blood, he sighed and took my details I was made to sit all alone on a chair with no arms even though I had mentioned to the man at the front and someone in reception that I feel faint and dizzy. This was unsafe and I could have easily fallen off the chair if I was not resting my head on the window or holding the pillar. It took 1 hour before I was seen even though there was me and an elderly gent in a wheelchair waiting. I got checked by a doctor and had my nose realigned I was then told to wait in the waiting room again and someone will take me down to X-ray to have my hand checked another hour had passed I was still bleeding loads and I wasn’t even offered some more tissues or even shown where the bathroom was for me to wash the blood off my hands. I had to ask the receptionist if someone was coming to take me to X-ray she said to me I will just have to wait I waited another hour and was taken to X-ray and was told to wait again. Doctors we’re just standing in corridors just talking and laughing I was made to sit alone again. A doctor came out to me and said it will be 2 hours before we will review my X-ray he said I could go outside to get something to eat and then come back, I went outside to collect my phone from the car and a nurse came rushing out to me shouting from the door. She was telling me off for coming out because I was bleeding but I didn’t see that concern while I was inside. After reviewing my X-ray I was told I could leave and I have an appointment the following week in ENT but it wasn’t written anywhere for me to remember I wasn’t given a slip or anything. I am very outraged by the service I was given and I would definitely not be recommending this hospital to anyone. I am still waiting for a review, I have been having problems with my nose and it has been 3 months now!!
