(as a service user),

Appointment for 11, told don’t come early as they like to main social distancing.

Waited in car until correct time.  Went over to centre to discover queued around the block.

What is the point of an appointment if you are not taken when they say you will.  There should have been different queues, one of walk-ins and the other for appointments.  Simple strategy.

Inside once more queuing, then sitting, moving a seat at a time until lo and behold you actually got a vaccination.  

People cleaning seats every time you moved up, how much covid is on everyone’s ass. I'm sure its more likely the seat wipers spread it, whatever it is?  Seats wet and sticky.  I think the people should stand, do away with unnecessary cleaning.  Ridiculous.  

A total mismanagement.

Thank you for your feedback which was shared with the Vaccination Team in Foyle Arena,. Please see enclosed response

When you attend for appointment what normally happens is that there are two queues one for walk in and one for booked appointments. During the day these queues are continually monitored and we strive to keep the flow moving. Unfortunately, we can experience a queue at times outside the building and I apologise that you were not taken at 11am.

The cleaning wipes that are used for the chairs are recommended by Infection Control and Department of Health. With so many people attending for their vaccines on a daily basis ( 700 people ).It is important that cleaning is maintained. Sometimes the seats may not be fully dried by the time the next person steps up to receive their vaccination as experienced by you on this occasion. As you have raised this issue it will be highlighted with the staff.

With regards to seating it is important that those attending for vaccinations are seated as some may become unwell or have a reaction to the vaccine which may happen in very rare cases but however can occur within minutes
