(as a staff member),

I (and my wife) were made to feel immediately at ease on arrival when my wife was admitted. I was able to ask what I wanted to ask - didn't really know what to expect in first instance. Any anxiety for myself or my family (sons) was eased. We were listened to and felt at ease. Doctors are very approachable and friendly - we were given the time needed to discuss anything. Never rushed. Can ask anything at any time.

All nursing staff are fantastic - helpful, friendly and caring. Always available to answer questions at any time.

Overnight care. Staff will always ring me to give an update on my wife.

Flexible for other close family members.

Offered family support. My family feel very supported by all staff at Forest Holme,

Dear ‘Forest Holme Hospice’

We are so sorry to hear your wife has been admitted to Forest Holme as this is never an easy time for a family going through this.

It is reassuring to hear that you, your wife and family all feel supported by the staff taking care of your wife and making sure you are all kept clearly informed regardless of the time of day.

To know there is someone at the end of a phone to inform and support you and your family must be a great comfort to you

We will certainly share your kind words with the staff in Forest Holme and hope you continue to get all the support you need, not only from the staff, but from the family and friends around you

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experiences of care at Forest Holme Hospice.

It means a lot, both to the staff at Forest Holme, and also to others who may understandably not know quite what to expect at a hospice and may be feeling anxious.
