"A special mention"

I would like to say a special thank you to the midwives at Teviot Road Hawick Health Centre, especially Mieke who was a pure joy to see.  She really listens and is genuinely interested in her patients which is very refreshing.  Her dedication and enthusiasm for her job is obvious and the tips and advice she offers due to her extensive knowledge in midwifery is invaluable!!

I was very anxious about my second labour as the first hadn’t been that easy, but after discussing this with Mieke I felt more positive, as her strong and down to earth approach helped empower me.  She is a credit to the NHS and a real delight to get to know!
