"Daughter admitted with asthma"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8) University Hospital Wishaw / Respiratory Medicine (Ward 7)

(as a service user),

My daughter attended A& E both Saturday and Sunday last week. She was eventually admitted to a ward where she was treated for a persistent cough due to her asthma. She was firstly sent to Medical Admissions for 1 night and then onto Ward 8 for 2 nights. The treatment she recieved was excellent and very thorough. I want to give special thanks to Ward Manager Yvonne who I could see was very busy, but she took her time and explained everything to my daughter. I also want to give special thanks to Dr McGovern, who again I could   see was extremely busy. He went out of his way to answer all our many questions. I know this has been a very difficult year for everyone, but especially the staff of this ward and I just want to say a massive thank you.
