(as a service user),

I needed a Colonoscopy following a recent admission to hospital and diagnosis of Diverticulitis.

I was called by the team to arrange the appointment. I received the information and medicine I needed to prepare the next day. The information was clear and helpful.

I arrived for my appointment in June 2021 (PM). The receptionist was helpful and informative.

The nurse who booked me in was wonderful! I was so scared and nervous. I was put at ease and helped to feel ok.

The staff during the procedure were amazing. Everything was explained. I felt as comfortable as I could. I even watched the procedure (eventually!) The Endoscopist gave me information to help me in the future and explained what was found during the colonoscopy.

The aftercare was perfect as well. Staff were busy but had time to talk and ensure I was ok.

Well done to everyone in this department. Everyone worked as a team and gave first class care.
